A man in his 30s is in critical condition after nearly drowning in waters off Oahu's south shore.
The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to Emergency Medical Services, the surfer was picked up by Ocean Safety's rescue watercraft and brought in to Magic Island.
Lifeguards performed CPR on the victim until paramedics arrived.
He was then taken to a nearby hospital.
