The state Department of Transportation says it will take three to six months and $30,000 to fix a guardrail on the H-1 Freeway that was damaged after a truck plowed through it.
The crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday.
Witnesses say the truck ran through the guardrail and ended up slamming into a tree.
The truck was towing a trailer with heavy equipment, which toppled onto the freeway.
The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
According to the DOT, parts need to be ordered from the mainland.
