A public meeting was put on by the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation Wednesday night to inform Kalihi residents of design work involving possible soil testing.
"We do soil testing to determine the depth of the columns so we don't plan to be working in this area until July or August," HART Director of Communications Jeanne Mariani-Belding said.
"I think it will give a boost for the community in Kalihi. I don't know if the property will go up or it will go down," " Kalihi resident Rudy Ibey said.
HART will hold another public meeting Thursday night in Kakaako.
