The unedited, time-lapsed video was provided by the Honolulu Circuit Court.
Jurors now have a better idea of what led up to the fatal shooting of a Kailua man two years ago.
On Wednesday, jurors in the Christopher Deedy murder trial were shown surveillance video.
There's no sound on the video and it's a bit jumpy, but it gives jurors a better picture of what happened.
Prosecutors showed federal agent Deedy, who is on trial for second-degree murder, at the Waikiki McDonald's with two friends. A few minutes later, shooting victim Kollin Elderts walked up to the counter with his friend Shane Medeiros.
"Kollin Elderts is wearing a plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled to the elbows and a hat," Honolulu Police Department Detective Peter Boyle said.
Another person goes to the counter, identified as Mikell Perrine, and Elderts and Medeiros are shown talking to him. The defense says the two men were bullying Perrine, which is why Deedy stepped in to help.
The video also shows what looks like Deedy throwing a kick towards Elderts. Shortly after, the scuffle breaks out.
Deedy's friend tries to break the two men apart. The video shows both men going down. Deedy goes down on the floor and gets back up and the scuffle continues.
In the video, it looks like Deedy is reaching for something behind him. It's hard to see shots being fired, but the worker behind the counter is covering her ears.
Soon after, customers are running out of the restaurant. Deedy is seen getting up with what looks like blood on his shirt.
How will this sway the jury?
A lot still depends on what the witnesses have to say.
