Hawaiian Electric Company crews worked overnight to restore power to residents in Windward Oahu.
HECO crews completed repairs in Haiku and all power was restored to affected customers shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday.
The power outage was reported shortly after 10 a.m. Monday and initially affected 5,000 customers.
The cause of the pole fire that started the outage remains under investigation.
HECO apologizes to customers for the inconvenience and appreciates their patience and understanding.
The first runner to cross the finish line of the 2013 Honolulu Marathon was Gilbert Chepkwony who finished in 2:18:47.
Airline officials say due to the wintry weather several flights to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and from there Sunday were cancelled.
