Honolulu Police are asking for the public's help in locating witnesses or the suspect in a Waikiki assault that sent a man to the hospital in critical condition.
The incident happened at about 5 a.m. Sunday on Kuhio Avenue.
Police say the man was sitting on the sidewalk fronting 2260 Kuhio Avenue, when he was approached by an unknown male. The suspect then struck the man and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
A female witness flagged down an HPD officer and gave a description of the suspect.
The victim was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
