A 69-year-old woman is dead following a traffic crash on Molokai.
The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Kamehameha V Highway near Kapaakea Loop in Kaunakakai.
Police say a motorized wheelchair and van were traveling east on the highway when the van hit the rear-end of the motorized wheelchair.
The operator of the motorized wheelchair, 69-year-old Patricia Bevins of Kaunakakai, was taken to Molokai General Hospital where she later died.
The driver of the van, a 60-year-old male resident of Kaunakakai, was not injured.
It is unknown if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
The crash remain under investigation.
