A retired couple on Maui is suing the Oregon berry farm linked to the Hepatitis A outbreak.
The lawsuit was filed on Monday on behalf of Janabe and Motoko Caldwell, and all other Hawaii residents who received the Hepatitis A vaccination or shot, or got a blood test to determine if they were infected after eating the Townsend Farms Frozen Berry Blend sold at Costco.
The Caldwells have not yet become infected, but the outbreak has sickened 87 people in eight states, including four people in Hawaii.
Costco pulled the product from store shelves nearly two weeks ago. They're offering free vaccines in its pharmacies for those who may have consumed the berries.
Sources tell KHON2 that state Department of Health Director Loretta Fuddy died in a plane crash off Molokai.
There's a grinch at the Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery. At least, that's what those who have loved ones buried there are saying. They've been told their holiday decorations at gravesites will have to come down.
Meals will not be prepared at Waipahu Elementary School. At least, not until the state figures out why 42 people, mostly children, became sick after lunch on Tuesday.
