The man who caused a scare in Kapolei last week has been charged.
John Arakawa, 56, was charged with four counts of firearms violations.
He was arrested on June 19 after a security guard at the Kapolei Social Security office discovered two handguns and ammunition in his backpack during a routine bag check.
Arakawa's wife said her husband simply forgot the guns were in his bags.
Arakawa was arrested then released after posting $50,000.
