A 31-year-old Kalihi man was injured after falling into a construction trench.
The incident happened at about 1 p.m. Thursday on Liliha Street.
Witnesses say the man was crossing the street near a construction site when he fell into a trench estimated to be about four feet deep.
The area is blocked off to pedestrian traffic.
Family members say the man is legally blind and was not using his walking stick.
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene.
