Honolulu police arrested a man at Waena Apartments in Liliha after the victim told authorities she woke up on her couch and noticed a stranger sitting next to her.
Edward Ham of Kalihi was arrested for unauthorized entry in a dwelling.
Police say the 38-year-old man walked into the apartment unit through the front door, which was not locked.
Ham remains in police custody and has not been charged.
