A man is in critical condition after nearly drowning in waters at Hanauma Bay Sunday.
Lifeguards performed CPR on the 76-year-old visitor from Japan, and managed to regain a pulse before paramedics arrived.
He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition shortly after 10:30 a.m.
It is not known what circumstances led up to the near drowning.
