A 32-year-old Kauai woman is recovering in the hospital after crashing her pickup truck 50 feet down a ravine.
The incident happened at about 3:15 a.m. Thursday on Kuhio Highway in Kealia.
Kauai police say the pickup truck crossed the center line, struck a light pole, and rolled down the ravine.
Rescuers managed to pull the woman out of the vehicle.
She was taken to the Wilcox Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Kuhio Highway was closed in both directions for about two hours while rescuers worked to remove the woman and truck from the scene.
No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the crash.
The incident remains under police investigation.
