The Kalalau Trail in Napali Coast State Wilderness Park on Kauai is closed after a helicopter accident.
The accident happened at about 2 p.m. Thursday at Kalalau Beach.
According to the Department of Land and Natural Resources, a pilot and two passengers were not injured, but were taken to a hospital.
The park is closed as the National Transportation Safety Board investigates.
A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration said the plane landed normally. A tarp on the ground blew into the rotor blades that damaged the aircraft. The FAA is also investigating.
Hikers with permits for the beach will be contacted and full refunds will be issued.
