Kauai police are looking for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Wailua Homesteads.
The crash happened Friday at about 2:30 a.m.
Police say a black Dodge truck with a white camper was traveling west on Kuamoo Road when it veered off the road, hit a wooden fence, and struck a utility pole. The sheared utility pole then fell onto the front windshield of a white Dodge pickup, also heading west at the time.
The 20-year-old female driver of the white pickup was taken Wilcox Hospital and has since been released.
The driver of the black Dodge fled the scene before police arrived, but officers found a vehicle matching that description a short time later on Kamalu Road.
Police located an unoccupied 1990 black Dodge truck with a white camper that displayed severe front-end damage. The owners of the vehicle reported the truck stolen.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police.
