The Kauai Fire Department responded to a house fire in Koloa early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to a single-story home on Mana Hema Place at about 2:30 a.m.
When crews arrived to the scene, they found the three-bedroom home fully engulfed in flames.
Sixteen firefighters from the Kalaheo, Koloa, and Lihue stations worked to put out the blaze.
The fire was extinguished at about 5 a.m.
No injuries were reported, but the fire caused $400,000 in damage to the home and its contents.
Volunteers from the American Red Cross is assisting the displaced resident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
