Just days after announcing it was shutting down, the Honolulu Weekly says it's coming back. But how it's coming back remains unclear.
A statement on Sunday from the Weekly's Facebook page directs readers to subscribe to an exclusive e-mail list for updates.
It did not elaborate on what the Weekly would be doing and KHON2's questions to the former editor were referred to the e-mail list.
Publisher Laurie Carlson announced last Wednesday the paper would be closing down immediately while there was still money to meet its debts and obligations.
Sources tell KHON2 that state Department of Health Director Loretta Fuddy died in a plane crash off Molokai.
There's a grinch at the Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery. At least, that's what those who have loved ones buried there are saying. They've been told their holiday decorations at gravesites will have to come down.
Meals will not be prepared at Waipahu Elementary School. At least, not until the state figures out why 42 people, mostly children, became sick after lunch on Tuesday.
