Add another trophy to Marcus Mariota's growing collection.
Even though he's suited up with the Tennessee Titans in the NFL, the Hawaii native's magical 2014-2015 college season continues to draw accolades.
On Wednesday, the former Oregon Ducks quarterback won the 2015 ESPY Award in the Best Male College Athlete category.
He was up against Frank Kaminsky, Jack Eichel, Logan Stieber and Dansby Swanson, and selected by a panel of experts along with fan online votes.
The Saint Louis graduate wasn't present to accept his award, choosing instead to spend part of his off-season on Oahu with family.
He shared the following statement with KHON2: "Thank you for the incredible honor. My time at the University of Oregon was a special experience and none of it would have been possible without teammates, coaches, and staff members. I am humbled and grateful for the award. Appreciate all the support and look forward to the future with the Tennessee Titans."
From 2014-2015, Mariota tied fellow local boy Manti Te'o with the most decorated single season in college football history, taking home seven major college football awards, including the Heisman Trophy.
He led the Ducks to their second-ever national championship appearance.
Mariota wasn't the only Hawaii athlete to be nominated for an ESPY.
Local big-wave surfer Paige Alms was up for Best Female Action Sports Athlete, however the award ultimately went to snowboarder Kelly Clark.
"I was fortunate to grow up in Hawaii surrounded by some of the best waves in the world and I'm so humbled to represent our state and our big-wave surfers at the ESPYs," said Alms. "This nomination is bigger than me - it's about a growing field of women, often unnoticed, who charge big waves and are charting the future for our sport. And it's about what is possible when you work hard, reach higher, and chase your dreams."
In January, Alms became the first woman to get barreled at Peʻahi ("Jaws"), Maui, one of the biggest and most intimidating waves in the world. She was recognized in May with the XXL's Women's Best Performance Award.
