A Hawaiian Airlines flight was forced to turn around Saturday morning, after an indicator light went on in the cockpit.
An airline spokesperson says the plane bound for Los Angeles from Honolulu had just taken off when an oil filter light went on about 15 minutes into the flight.
The pilot was forced to shut down one of the two engines and turn back.
It landed safely at Honolulu airport.
All 258 passengers were put on another plane which took off at about 11:15 a.m.
