Big Island fire officials say they were called to a two-story home on Aipuni Street around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
When crews arrived, smoke and flames were coming from the windows of the home.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire causing little damage to the home.
They were able to contain the fire to the mattress of a bed.
No one was home when they arrived.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
