An Ewa Beach man indicted on three counts of promoting prostitution in the first degree pleaded not guilty on Monday from the Oahu Community Correctional Center.
Isaiah Black is charged with promoting prostitution in the first degree, which is a Class A felony. It alleges that the 28 year old forced, threatened, or intimidated a person into engaging into prostitution or that a person made a profit from it.
If convicted, Black faces up to 20 years in prison.
He remains in custody on $100,000 bail.

Murder suspect Bryan Suitt made his first court appearance in California on Wednesday. He's accused of killing 34-year-old Alex Gonzales and dumping his dismembered body in a Waipio ravine in September.
UPDATE: The Department of Land and Natural Resources closed the nearshore waters of Makena State Park on Wednesday due to a report of a large shark exhibiting aggressive behavior, which chased two spear fishermen out of the water.
