Big Island police have closed a portion of Highway 19 near Puu Nani Street in the Waimea area due to a vehicle crash.
According to police, a utility pole and electrical wires are on the road.
At this time, one lane of traffic is open on Highway 19.
Motorists should allow additional travel time when and to expect delays when driving through the area for the remainder of the day.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution as workers are still in the area repairing the utility lines.
