A man arrested for allegedly setting fire to an Ala Wai apartment unit appeared in court Friday.
Dustin Saluda, 28, was arrested Tuesday night after a fire burned through an 18th floor apartment at the Ala Wai Plaza building.
Honolulu police say Saluda live with two other roommates, but was the only person home at the time the fire broke out.
According to court documents, Saluda blamed his roommates, the Honolulu Police Department, and the Marines for the incident, saying they hypnotized him and ordered him to set the fire.
Saluda is being held on $200,000 bail.
The first runner to cross the finish line of the 2013 Honolulu Marathon was Gilbert Chepkwony who finished in 2:18:47.
