Residents at the Towers at Kuhio Park spent Saturday morning getting their hands dirty helping to create a new community garden.
"We're hoping that it'll be a communal garden, where people work and they all get to share in their bounty, they get to share in the work together, but as they're working and as they're growing, they're connecting with each other over the food," Roots Project director Kaiulani Odom said.
They plan to grow food using organic gardening techniques and hope to bring more healthy food to their community.
