A head-on collision on Piilani Highway in Kihei sent three people to the hospital.
The accident happened just before 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police say a car going north on Piilani Highway hit another car coming in the opposite direction.
A 64-year-old Kahului woman and her 50-year-old passenger were taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center.
Police say the passenger suffered life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car that was hit, a 48-year-old Kahului man, was also taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police say everyone was wearing a seat belt and airbags were deployed in both cars.
It is unknown if speed, drugs, and alcohol were factors in the crash.
