The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is no tsunami threat for Hawaii following a strong earthquake near the Mariana Islands.
The 7.0-magnitude earthquake occurred just after 2:30 p.m. (HST).
Based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no tsunami threat for Hawaii.
