The Honolulu Fire Department is inviting the public to the Fourth Annual Signature Chefs Food Festival on Friday.
Chef Shaymus Alwin from Azure Restaurant whipped up some great dishes on Wake Up 2day Tuesday morning to preview the event.
"It's going to be awesome. The back courtyard area of the parking lot is going to be transformed into a party celebration. There are going to be tents with booths for food tasting, entertainment. There are going to be firefighters that are going to be part of the cooking. They are going to be doing what we're calling a cook-off," HFD Capt. Terry Seelig said.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Honolulu Firefighters Foundation.
The celebration starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday and will be held at HFD's Headquarters Complex in Kakaako.
