The Kauai Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a driver or vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident in Līhue on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:29 a.m.
A dark colored, low-rider style Nissan pickup truck hit a utility pole at its base fronting a residence located on Puaole Street, causing the pole to fall onto a vehicle that was parked in the driveway. The driver then fled the scene.
Major damage was sustained by the vehicle as well as the residence waterline, and water service had to be turned off.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Police Dispatch at 241-1711 or Crime Stoppers at 241-1887.
