Members of several animal welfare groups in Hawaii plan to protest in front of Chaminade University on Saturday morning.
In May Chaminade stopped allowing people to feed stray cats on campus to deal with a growing feral cat population.
The Hawaii Cat Foundation calls the policy "animal abuse .. to intentionally starve the animals and deny them water."
A Chaminade spokeswoman says the university is now "working with the Hawaiian Humane Society and a partner organization to ensure shelter and care of the animals."
At least 40 students got sick and 27 of them were taken to the hospital. Officials are now taking a look at what the kids ate for lunch.
An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of an elderly man in Chinatown.
Sports teams from both Oregon State and Boise State will be on Oahu at the same time to compete in the Hawaii Bowl and Diamond Head Classic.
