A happy ending to a lost dog story.

Sunday afternoon, Michelle Lam got the call she had been praying for - the Humane Society had Hoku, the therapeutic chihuahua for her autistic daughter.

Michelle is grateful to the person who found Hoku.

"I would also like to extend a great thank you to them for turning her in and returning Hoku to us because she's a member of our family and we were just so distraught and devastated without her."

Hoku went missing from their Kaimuki home last night.

I saw a little dog run mauka across Waialae Avenue at the 16th Ave. intersection a few days ago, can't remember exactly which day. Wonder if this was the one? Regardless, that was one lucky dog -- good thing it had sense to cross at the crosswalk, lol, or the cars probably would've never noticed it coming. I saw a lady who looked like she was trying to catch it, but don't know what happened after that.

Therapeutic? I honestly think that 99% of autism diagnosis are bogus.
