The victim in a pedestrian accident Thursday has died from his injuries.

At about 12:30 p.m. a 68-year-old man was crossing Kalakaua Avenue at the intersection with Kealohilani Avenue when a jeep hit him.

The man was taken to Queens Medical Center in serious condition.

Later that evening he was pronounced dead.

The driver was a 37-year-old woman from Texas.

Police say speed may be a factor in the collision.

why is this article so short? the article with the cop is much longer and tells us everything about the driver.

I walked up on this accident after it happened, was so sad to see the aftermath, the mans ice cream splattered all over the windshield, the driver in the BMW suv filling out paperwork, police taking pictures, the poor victim was already removed, prayers were sent up immediately but just from the damage to the BMW I knew it wasn't going to be good. God speed.
