Kelly Ripa has arrived in the islands and is preparing to shoot "Live! with Kelly" at Disney's Aulani Resort in Ko Olina.
The “Live! with Kelly” show is about to get underway in paradise with host Kelly Ripa.
The New Jersey native says she is excited to shoot five episodes of her syndicated talk show on location in Ko Olina.
Special featured co-hosts include Matthew Morrison, Jon Cryer and Hawaii's own Carrie Ann Inaba.
"Of course we miss Regis but it’s always been like a two person show,” said Ripa. “So, he's not there or I am not there, or somebody else filling in."
The actress whose claim to stardom was on the set of “All My Children” says her career as a talk show host has come full circle as she searches for a new co-host.
"I have experienced it from both sides now, I have experienced it coming in as the new girl and now I am the person trying out the new people so it’s very interesting to come full circle like that,” said Ripa.
Named as one of People Magazine's most intriguing people, Kelly owes her success to a person who influenced her at a young age.
"I feel like I owe so much of my career to my middle school drama teacher,” she said. "I wasn't a good singer at all but he always looked past my bad voice and thought that I was really a good actress and thought that I had was very funny."
The spunky, smart and down to earth television host says to make it in the industry you have to work hard and never give up.
"So so much of it is timing and luck and persistence and perseverance,” she said.
