Daytime television host Kelly Ripa and her friends are spending one week in the islands for the taping of the "Live with Kelly" show.
"You think you know what flowers smell like until you smell them here, you think you know what pineapple tastes like until you taste it here,” said Kelly.
It's been ten years since she spent some time in Hawaii and she remembers the vacation like it was yesterday.
"We were in Maui and Lanai and we just thought it was so majestic and beautiful,” she said.
The mother and self proclaimed shoe lover says she always dreamed of living here as a child and is thrilled to be back to shoot a week's worth of "Live with Kelly" shows at the Disney Aulani Resort & Spa in Ko Olina.
Among the guests visiting Kelly in Hawaii -- Emmy Award winning actress Patricia Heaton and Kelly's husband Mark Consuelos will co-host later in the week.
Viewers can also expect to see a very special Disney fairytale wedding episode.
But this trip can't be all about work right?
I mean Kelly is really here to enjoy the sun and sand of the islands.
So what is she planning to do during her spare time?
"We are actually going to do everything,” she said.
The super mom and her family are excited to see some of Hawaii's marine life up close.
"We definitely want to do a whale watching excursion because I remember when we were taking the boat we took from Maui to Lanai and just by chance as we're crossing the whales were breaching next to us and I thought is this are we on the I can't believe this is happening we are seeing whales and we didn't have to pay extra I mean what is going on like whales just happen here,” she said.
