Honolulu Police were sent on a manhunt earlier this evening following a stabbing in Kalihi.

According to police, a man was stabbed several times on Kaumualii Street just after 5 p.m. and managed to walk around the corner to a neighbor's home and call for help.

When police arrived he identified his attacker as Patricio Aquino and police began canvassing the neighborhood looking for the suspect.

They found him around 7:30 p.m. a block away, and took him into custody for attempted murder.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition and later improved to guarded.

Aquino has since been charged for attempted murder. His bail is posted at $100,000 and remains in custody as of Saturday night.

Neilyn = apparently you haven't been keeping up with the news or at least the details of the news as of recent. Jusme101 is referring to the last two stories where each stabbing incident was ruled "self-defense", though maybe one out of the two maybe questionable in my opinion. Jusme101 is using sarcasm, not taking a definitive stance. If you knew about the other stories, than this would've have been clear.

FYI it's not self defense. Don't post something up if you don't the real story behind it. And what's so funny about it. What if that happens to you, would you still laugh!?

As long as he stabbed the guy in the back and was out numbered... The prosecutor will call it self defense... and we actually paid the prosecutor to tell us that B S...
