It's a stop KHON2 news has been making for a while now.

Every month, Poke Stop Chef Elmer Guzman delights our taste buds as a guest in "Hawaii's Kitchen" on our morning news.

Now his delicious creations have caught the attention of a popular Food Network show.

Poke Stop Chef Elmer is no stranger being in the local spot light, but now he is taking on a bigger stage.

Guy Fieri, host of the popular Food Network Show "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives", stopped at the Poke Stop's in Mililani to check out the restaurant's delicious menu.

Among the dishes tried, was Chef Elmer's popular, salmon poke.

”So we are taking a traditional Hawaiian dish and adding a little asian spin to it?” asked Guy Fieri.

“Yeah so what we do here at poke stop is, I take little things and make it into ‘wow’ I haven't seen that before,” said Chef Guzman.

Chef Elmer showed Guy how to make the perfect batch of sea food heaven but it wasn't all a serious lesson.

“We have a rule, I’m the host of the show there’s no bigger arm band than mine, that's it, I don't want to talk to you need a representative,” joked Guy. “Looks like a WWF wrist band!”

After the salmon was diced and the seasonings prepared, it was time for Guy to put his taste buds to the test.

”Now look at that, that’s all the flavor packed into that, mmmm.”

And he wasn't disappointed!

”Mmm, dude, mmmm.”

Poke Stop was Guy's first stop in Hawaii for the show and he knows his visit will inspire others to stop on by.

“With the millions of fans and viewers that we have on Triple D, there is no question in my mind that this place will get hit."
