Krista Batteau says it all happened so fast. "It was loud and it looked, it was too fast, really just too fast."
She was walking into Jamba Juice at the Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center to order a smoothie when this green mustang hopped the curb and launched into the store.
"Fast enough to go up 2 feet over the platform, the curb is there and the platform is another 2 feet," said Batteau.
The crash sent glass and pieces of the front window flying.
"My heart skipped a beat when I heard that it was crazy," said Ezra Ortiz.
Ortiz was with a friend sitting next to the window, he was a foot away from where the mustang came through into the store, but his friend was knocked to the ground.
"Suddenly I hear a loud crash on the left side of my ear and I turn to look and see this car sticking in through the window and my friend lying on the floor with glass stuck in his leg," said Ortiz.
Honolulu Police say the 14 year-old boy was taken to the hospital in serious condition with head injuries. A 44 year-old male customer and a 34 year-old female customer were also injured and taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
"The little kid had a neck brace on people had blood on their legs," said Batteau.
Police say the 44 year-old driver was parked outside the Jamba Juice and was attempting to reverse when something went wrong.
"the driver related that the gearing and pedals got stuck and he reversed he tried to steer it and reversed into Jamba Juice," said Honolulu Police Lt. John Vines.
"He seems pretty remorseful and apologizing to the lady and stuff," said Batteau.
She says it could have been much worse.
"It was scary my heart is still pounding, thank god I wasn't in there i'm pregnant that would have been way bad," said Batteau.
Police say this is not considered a criminal traffic case but the driver could face civil charges.
