Olena Rubin joined the KHON2 News team as a reporter in August 2007.

Olena worked previously at Clear Channel Communications as Promotions Coordinator and On-air talent for 93.9FM. She hosted a weekly radio show that featured DJ's locally and from abroad.

In June 2004, Olena was honored to win the title of Miss Hawaii, she went on to compete for Miss America 2005 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Olena was awarded the Presidential Volunteer Award for her community service and commitment.

Olena was the host for a popular OC16 television show Countdown Hawaii and also host for Kimo's Vegas.

She is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University with a BA in communication with a concentration in speech.
