Andrew Pereira joined the KHON2 NEWS team in August 2004 as a general assignment reporter.

He began his journalism career at KHNL in 1995 as an associate producer. Andrew remained at the NBC affiliate for 8 years, eventually becoming the executive producer of the station's successful morning newscast.

Andrew was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and moved to Miami Beach, Florida in 1974.

In 1991 Andrew relocated to Oahu's North Shore where he lives with his wife Daniela and their two children.

He studied at Brigham Young University-Hawaii in Laie before beginning his career in journalism.

Andrew is an avid surfer and swimmer and enjoys playing soccer.
