Vanessa joined the KHON2 News Team in January of 2005 to work on the assignment desk. In August of 2006 she was given the opportunity to report stories.

Her passion for news began in the 3rd grade. She got a taste of being on television at 11 years old as the youngest spokesperson on a local television station KFVE.

Vanessa graduated from the University of Oregon in 2002 with a degree in Journalism. On her days off, she sometimes works part-time as a skills trainer for autistic children.
She enjoys surfing, running, paddling and spending time with her dog, Pa’ani.
