A suspect in the fatal shooting of an 18 year old man at Ala Moana Beach park is in police custody.

The 20-year-old suspect was escorted by Honolulu Police officers after he turned himself in about 9;30 this evening.

Police say Khynava Phanthanouvong was at a party late Sunday night when he was challenged to a fight.

He was shot after a brawl near Magic Island.

Phanthanouvong was shot in the chest and died at Queen's Medical Center.

The suspect is being questioned by police.
