Woman Seeks Help to Find Stolen Family Heirlooms

A Nuuanu woman is asking the public to help her obtain family heirlooms stolen from her home on Sunday.

The thief broke in through Terry Werning's the back window while she was out running errands.

Priceless treasures from long gone family members were taken, including a box filled with her deceased son's class ring.

"It's not worth that much, that ring means everything to me.And his marine ring all those things that are parts of my life, that's what's been stolen from me, my lifes been stolen from me," Werning said.

30-thousand-dollars worth of jewelry and collectable coins holding her family history are now gone.

Werning is offering a 500-dollar award to anyone who can help her recover the items.

She promises not to press charges once the heirlooms are returned.
