A good password is one which is difficult to guess. Names, words found in dictionaries, phone numbers, birthdates, etc. are easy to remember AND easy to guess.

When selecting a password, try one having 8 or more characters. Use upper and lowercase characters. Use special characters like ‘&’. And use numbers.

Instead of a password like ‘Jessica’, you may want to use some permutation like:

‘IluvJ3ssica!’

You shouldn’t use the same password for multiple accounts. However, you can create variations. For example, your password for banking, could be:

‘bIluvJ3ssica!’

Where the ‘b’ indicates banking. Similarly, your Gmail account could be:

‘gIluvJ3ssica!’

Where the ‘g’ indicates Gmail.
