More than one hundred golfers hit the links at the Honolulu Country Club today for Lokahi.

If golfers weren't pumped up enough before, taiko drummers and tournament Chair Danny Kaleikini no doubt did the trick.

"I want to say Mr. Taki, thank you so much" said Kaleikini. "Honolulu Country Club has donated to Lokahi 150-thousand dollars and we thank you very much for being part of our family."

The Fourth Annual Honolulu Country Club Foundation Charity Golf Tournament is one of the largest single donors to our Lokahi Giving Project.

"We're very blessed, very very happy" says Honolulu Country Club Owner Tomio Taki. "There must be some unlucky people or not as lucky as us. We should be sharing our happiness."

Many familiar faces were back for another year.

Kimo Kahoano did his best Tiger Woods impression, but he'd have to do better to keep up with the defending champs- Scotty B. and Rick Hamada.

When asked "what's it like to be back here as the Defending Champ this year" a humble Scotty B. answered "Well, it's about Lokahi folks it really is. Just the good hearted folks of the Honolulu Country Club that want to give."

Hamada added "It's a beautiful day, the country club is a wonderful venue and everybody who participates, they play from the heart, they really do."

There were prizes along the way for great play-- like a new car or motorcycle for a hole in one.

Lokahi's award for shot of the day goes to Rick Hamada, who chipped in off the green with his trusty Sand Wedge.

The big winner is Lokahi, who receives 50-thousand dollars from this year's fundraising tournament.
