Hawaii pulled together for Lokahi families yesterday, and donors across the state pitched in for our holiday drive.

Hawaii came together Island style for Lokahi.

On Maui, everyone got into the act at Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center.

Bikes and gifts poured in, as John Cruz entertained shoppers and our Justin Cruz led the way.

At the same time, Trini Kaopuiki greeted givers at Azeka Shopping Center's Lokahi drive in Kihei.

Donors did their best to fill up a van donated by American Storage to handle all Neighbor Island donations.

Santa was busy hopping from Lokahi location to location, joining Gina Mangieri on stage at Lahaina Cannery Mall.

Karen Kanekoa wants her young daughter to learn about giving back.

"Christmas is about giving not getting. That's the most important thing," said Lokahi donor Karen Kanekoa.

Volunteers couldn't help dancing to the music.

On Kauai, Olena Rubin couldn't resist showing off a few moves either.

Probably couldn't help it, with talented entertainers like Eric Gilliom and Willie K, donating their time to Lokahi.

The Big Island also gave in a big way.

Jai Cunningham got into the holiday spirit at Kona's Keauhou Shopping Center.

Over on the Hilo side, keiki hula and a packed house kept Kirk Matthews and Linda Coble company, and everyone came bearing gifts.

A theme we saw statewide, it's never too soon to start.

"I think it's really important to start at a young age learning how to give to other people," said Lokahi donor Angie Toma.

On Oahu, Kathy Muneno helped Windward Mall's first Lokahi drive get off to a good start.

And, it was a sweet 16 at Ala Moana Center, where Joe Moore and I continued a tradition that started back in 1991.
