ACtion Line Consumer Alert: Recalled Items July 28 - Aug 1

By Vanessa Stewart

If you buy toys for your keiki, they may have hidden hazards

Wooden toys like these were recalled because they could possibly choke or strangle children.

Maker, Earthentree voluntarily recalled the toys because they contain small parts that could be swallowed.

Some also have a pull string that could be hazardous.

The toys were sold at trade fairs and various stores nationwide.

Another recall of two types of New England climbing ropes.

The ropes come in yellow and black and yellow and red and have these model numbers.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the ropes can break causing climbers to fall.

And finally, a recall of "it's a Girl Thing" children's jewelry because they could contain high levels of lead.

The recall includes these necklaces, bracelets and phone charms.

They were sold nationwide from February 2006 through last month.
