Action Line Consumer Alert: Recalled Items Week of July 21-25

By Vanessa Stewart

The Consumer Product Safety Commission helps to inform consumers about products that may possibly injure children.

In this week's Action Line Consumer Alert take a look at recalled items from Dirt Devil's vacuum tools to pillows sold at Costco.

Twelve injuries due to plastic pieces breaking apart inside the vacuum have led to the *recall* of the "Dirt Devil Turbo Tool Power brush attachment.

The accessory has the following date codes: J7060 and J7365.
It is made by TTI Floor Care.

Another recall on our list, these wireless indoor helicopters.
They've ignited, burning at least one person.
The "Sky Scrambler" and "Sharper Image" toy helicopters have yellow, red and blue decals on the tail.

Some keiki products have also been recalled. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says pacifiers similar to this one were recalled because the shield and ring handle can detach posing a choking hazard to infants.

Look for "It's my binky's" personalized pacifiers. They're sold at Nordstrom and various baby boutique stores, with "Japlo" on the shield.

And finally,
"Sleep Innovations" pillows sold at Costco are being recalled because of small metal pieces in the fiber-fill.

And if you have consumer concerns call Action Line at 591-0222 Monday thru Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
