The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory for north and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai and Oahu and north facing shores of Molokai and Maui.

Forecasters say a large northwest swell will spread into the area Sunday night and peak Monday evening. The swell will subside through Tuesday morning, but a new and larger swell will roll in by Tuesday evening. Waves are expected to rise to 18 to 22 feet on the north facing shores.  Waves are expected to be between 10 to 15 feet on the west side of Oahu.
