The state will close all westbound lanes of the H1 Freeway in the Liliha area overnight Tuesday.

The closure is between the Vineyard Boulevard off-ramp and the Palama Street off. The lane closures will begin at 9 p.m. with the two left lanes affected. The full closure starts at 10:30 p.m. and will reopen at 4:30 a.m.

Crews need to replace an outdated electronic message-board mounted on the Liliha Street overpass. The project started last week, and is taking longer than crews expected.

Because of the extra time needed in Liliha, a Pearl City freeway closure planned for Tuesday night will now start Thursday.

All eastbound lanes of the H-1 freeway will be closed from the Pearlridge-Waimalu off-ramp to Aloha Stadium Thursday to Friday from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m.

State crews will be replacing an electronic-message-board that is mounted on the Kaamilo Street overpass, and this project could extend into next week as well.

Drivers should use Kamehameha highway as an alternate route.

If had the rail, I wouldn't have to worry about total freeway closures.
