The H-1 Freeway has finally been reopened, several hours after a mudslide near School Street closed all west bound lanes Tuesday morning.

Heavy rains resulted in lane closures in both directions.

The west bound lanes were completely closed, as police directed traffic off the freeway at School Street, and then let drivers back on in Palama.

The mudslide was cleaned up and the roadway was reopened at 7:30 a.m.

The east bound lanes of the freeway were shut down for a short time prior to the morning rush hour due to flooding between the Alexander and Punahou overpasses.

A flash flood watch is in effect Oahu, Molokai, Maui and Hawaii Island until 6 p.m.

I can't believe it took these mor_ons 4 hours to fix a major highway... as if there are so many other "ALTERNATE" routes on an island... IF THESE LITTLE BAS_STARD DON'T NEED JOBS, THEN REPLACE THEM.
