HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Oahu motorists that the Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) will be operating through the Veterans Day Weekend from Friday, November 11, through Sunday, November 13, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.daily.

During this time, the FSP’s range will also be extended from the H-1 Freeway at University Avenue to Pohakunui Avenue on Farrington Highway (near the Kahe Poin Power Plant).

The FSP’s normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.daily, excluding holidays. The purpose this temporary extension of service is to enhance safety and security by minimizing possible traffic disruptions between Ko Olina and Waikiki during APEC.

Motorists should call 841-HELP (841-4357) if they should need assistance during FSP’s hours of operation.

The FSP will return to its regular hours and range of operations starting on Monday,November 14.
